Thursday: With all the positive test results back and Mom doing well with her recovery, the doctors said it was alright for us to checkout and go home. Mom & Dad said they would be happy to be able to sleep in their own bed again and to show me my new room. I finished my morning snack, got a new diaper and was ready to try on my new outfit. Mom tells me that the sweater is the same one that she came from the hospital in when she was my size. Next, we got all our stuff packed up and I got fitted for my very own seat in the car. Dad carried me down and loaded me in and it was off for home.Since I have never been outside before I didn't realize how bright it was. The world is a big place so I was looking everywhere and taking in the whole scene. After a little ride, we pulled in the driveway at I was officially home. The kitties were waiting for us in the kitchen and they didn't know what to think when they met me. Hobbes came over to sniff me but jumped back when I moved my arm. Elsa just wanted her food and ran towards the door so they knew she was hungry. Once inside Mom & Dad brought me up to my new room. It has so much fun stuff and
plenty of space for me to play. Thank you to everyone for the great gifts, I will enjoy them everyday :) We settled in for the rest of the day with a quick nap, some more food, diaper changes and plenty of sleep. I peed on Dad when he was changing me because the room was a little colder than I was used to. He wasn't mad...he is just happy to have me home. I cried a little during the night for a new diaper and Hobbes got scared again but Mom took good care of me and it was back to sleep. Overall my first day home was a complete success and I'm very happy to have a space all my own with the people who love me most.Things they may regret saying- from Dad: "This diapering thing is easy!"
