A baby's life can be very busy, especially since I have to learn everything from scratch. I was able to wake up Dad long enough to post these new photos and assorted thoughts on my first full week at the house.- My first official trip to the doctor was Monday (3/10) and I was already back to my birth weight. There may come a day when I go to the doctor and be sad to learn I gained weight but for now everyone seems very happy about it. I had another appointment today (St. Patrick's Day) and am up to 6 lbs 9 ounces. My cord fell off over the weekend, so I should be getting my belly button soon. I eat 2 ounces per feeding and 8 feedings per day. Although I get cranky being changed it sure beats hanging out in a dirty diaper.
- Thursday night was my first sponge bath. Mom & Dad worked together to get me clean and kept me warm as best they could. I cried a little but tried to be as cooperative as I could be.
- Sleeping schedule:
The best time to be awake is 3 AM although Mom & Dad don't seem to agree with me on that. They think I should be awake when it's bright out and sleep at night. For right now we kind of compromise but we will have to see who wins out in the end. So far my favorite place to sleep is right next to Mom but I have also tried my crib to some success. They play music for me in my room and that keeps me pretty calm and entertained. Overall I sleep 14-16 hours throughout the day... Mom & Dad get considerably less than that amount.
After Grandpa Matthew came out to see me this weekend, I have officially met all my immediate Grandparents. Being part of such a big family it is tough to meet all my relatives but I look forward to it sometime real soon.
- I helped Mom finish the taxes this weekend and tomorrow I will help Dad draft his fantasy baseball team. Dad says that Aunt Rory will have to show me how to fill out my March Madness bracket using mascots before Thursday... so much to learn.
- Look for photos of my room to be up this week!!!
